The Player

Born in Baja.
Competing everywhere.

Charlie Treviño is a professional pickleball player based in San José del Cabo, México — and the highest-ranked woman pro competing out of Central America. Her game is defined not by the loudest swing on court, but by the sharpest read. She wins by noticing what other players miss.

A breakthrough performance at the inaugural Selkirk Combine in fall 2025 earned her a Sparta contract and a seat at the pro table. In her PPA Challenger debut she collected Gold in women's singles and Bronze in doubles with Allie Reichert, then added Silver on the world stage at the WPBL in India.

“My goal isn't to hit hard. It's to apply pressure in very specific places — to force indecision.”

Off the court she trains daily under coach Matt PaneGasser — dinks, resets, and third-shot drops before pattern play or live points — and coaches out of Cabo Pickleball Pros, sharing the same discipline that got her to the tour. Her weapon is the SLK ERA Power, a paddle built for exactly the control-first, pop-when-you-need-it game she plays. Next up: APP Fort Lauderdale, the PPA Masters, and Season 2 of the WPBL back in India, carrying México's flag onto the global stage.

The Method

Three shots. Zero waste.

Every great tactical player owns a short list of shots and can execute them under pressure. Charlie's foundation is built on three — drilled nearly every day of the year before a single live point is played.

01 / THE DINK

Patience, weaponized.

Soft hands at the kitchen. The dink isn't passive — it's how you move an opponent out of position before they know they've left it.

02 / THE RESET

Absorb. Reclaim.

Out-of-the-air resets from the transition zone. The shot that turns a rally you were losing back into one you can win — if you can land it under fire.

03 / THE DROP

The great equalizer.

A clean third-shot drop gets you from the baseline to the line. And at the line is where Charlie lives.
